LATEST CONTRACT WIN FOR PRIMARY IMAGE IN THE CAR DRIVER SIMULATOR MARKET

Primary Image is pleased to announce its latest contract win for the development of a custom designed car driving simulator which will be delivered in April of this year. Together with the company Ballracing, Primary Image specially designed the mobile car driver simulator for one of the largest British motoring schools. Based in the South East of England, the portable simulator will be used at different locations throughout the UK to attract potential students by giving them a trial experience of driving.

For this type of promotional product, realism and excellent image quality were of great importance when deciding on the visuals to be used. The motoring school chose Primary Image after being extremely impressed by the realistic visual system powered by the company’s image generator Fabriano XL. Primary Image’s flexibility and capability to offer the customer a high level of involvement when designing this unique product was also a key deciding factor in placing the contract with Primary Image.

The simulator consists of half of a Peugeot 206 with the back half of the car sawn off, the engine removed, and the host PC and a Fabriano XL image generator stored in the empty engine bay. The simulator will be used on a marketing stand with a 41” plasma screen suspended from a gantry system just infront of the windscreen of the car; the database designed in-house, will be of a geotypical English town.

The customer, John Benson of Benson School of Motoring, commented, “As we had a fairly unusual request, it was important to us that the company we chose was extremely flexible without compromising the standard of the system. Primary Image met these needs, and the final product is being designed specifically to meet our requirements. We are already particularly impressed with the level of support we have received and look forward to seeing the public’s reaction to the simulator at our trade shows.”
